Giving Back
Gentell has a long and proud history of involvement in the wound care industry. In the United States, Gentell President and CEO David Navazio worked tirelessly with the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Care and co-chaired the committee responsible for having the Health Care Financing Administration recognize advanced wound care products. The result was a Congressional change to the Medicare Coverage Policies (Section 2079) to recognize wound care and provide coverage for advanced wound care products.
Today, our membership in trade associations and industry groups helps “make it better” for patients around the world. We also support organizations close to our corporate headquarters in Yardley, PA, such as The Salvation Army, Rotary International, KB Foundation and others. In addition, Gentell supports the military through involvement with our local base and by providing an positive culture for our service members.

The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army has been providing social and spiritual services to communities throughout the world since 1865. Committed to serving the whole person, body, soul and spirit, with integrity and respect, The Salvation Army uses creative solutions to positively transform lives. Its objectives are the advancement of the Christian religion, education, the relief of poverty and other charitable objectives beneficial to society or the community of mankind as a whole.
Rotary International
Rotary International is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.
KB Foundation
The KB Foundation works with area youth by creating fun educational learning experiences. Mentors volunteering their time and all the supporters helping financially are contributing to the success of these children. The support from others helps to build up their confidence, keep them engaged in positive activities and increase their participation in school.
Liguori Academy
Liguori Academy is a private high school located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. Inspired by the teachings of Alphonsus Liguori, the school was founded on the motto of Boundless Love. Its vision is to offer a transformative experience that ensures every graduate is prepared for postsecondary success, in order to have an accomplished and meaningful life.
Joint Base MDL
David Navazio serves as an honorary commander at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), a United States Air Force base located in central New Jersey, approximately 25 miles from Gentell’s headquarters. A joint venture between military and civilian leaders, this program introduces civic leaders to the missions, people, challenges, triumphs, and day-to-day operations of organizations at the joint base.
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
In 2024, Gentell was recognized by the Pennsylvania Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) with the Seven Seals Award for unwavering support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Military Reserves. Gentell Vice President 2LT Nebras Hayek nominated Gentell for ESGR's National level award for patriotic employers.
