Producono meno pelucchi e sono meno aderenti rispetto alle spugne di garza tessuta, quindi causano meno disturbo al letto della ferita. La miscela di rayon/poliestere offre proprietà di assorbimento rapido pur essendo altamente assorbente e minimizzando la macerazione della pelle. Non contiene lattice di gomma naturale.
